Halloween 2009

Last weekend was Alex's Halloween party. The decorations were awesome! We dressed up as Fred & Wilma Flintstone. Everyone said we looked cute. I got my toe cut on broken glass because someone accidentally dropped their beer bottle right near my foot. I didn't even notice I was cut until the next morning. Towards the end of the night, we started to feel tired so we just watched a bit of Scream. The next day we went to Buffalo Wild Wings to watch football with Anthony and his dad. We had mini cheeseburgers and mini pulled pork sandwiches, both were DELICIOUS.

Last week was pretty busy. I had fun making Halloween shirts for my kids. I tie-dyed them then painted words/designs on them. I got such good feedback that I might do shirts for Christmas, too. Friday was their Halloween party. I dressed up as a pirate. I made yummy Halloween cupcakes. The party was a big success, and the kids looked so cute!

Later that night, Alex and I went to see Zombieland with Anthony and Annalise. I thought it was pretty funny. Yesterday, Alex and I went to the store with Kris and Christine to get stuff for dinner. They made autumn chicken, chicken marsala and pasta. Yummy! Dessie and Steve came over, too. We all ate dinner and watched Orphan and ate brownies. Today Alex, Anthony and I went to Buffalo Wild Wings to watch football. Overall, it was a very fun weekend and I can't believe it's already NOVEMBER!!

My Amazing Date With Alex

So...9/26 was 2 weeks since I had seen him. Those 2 weeks were torture!! That afternoon, Ryann and I went to the mall to get haircuts (much needed for me). Afterward, I rushed to get ready since he would be coming to get me soon. I wore my really cute new top from Target and my favorite skinny jeans. When he came to the door he was dressed nice and looked so handsome as always. When I got in his car there was a big bouquet of beautiful pink roses (my favorite)! One of his favorite restaurants is Yard House and he'd been wanting to take me there for awhile so we went there. He had me try a fruity beer and a chocolate beer. He also got me to try coconut shrimp. Not bad, but it was over this really spicy sauce. He had this really good mac & cheese and I got a bbq bacon cheeseburger (so messy I might add). Afterward, we went back to his place and watched some more Lost. We're almost done with the first season! I have to admit I'm hooked. The best part of the night was that he finally said "I love you." I said it back, of course! :)

July 4th, etc.

To finally update lol...last Thursday was Hailey's last day. I think we all have our little favorites in child care, and Hailey was mine. Ever since she was 1 she's been my buddy. If she was having a rough drop off, if you asked her "You wanna see Carly?" she would immediately stop crying. Anyhoo, her family decided to move back to Nebraska..so far away. I got emotional making her goodbye gift and just thinking about her leaving. On my lunch break I went in her class and had a little photoshoot with her. When she and her mom said goodbye to me, I surprisingly didn't cry. Her mom actually told me I'm their favorite teacher where I work, which meant a lot. I left her my email and she said she'll send me pictures of Hailey playing in snow and things like that.

That night Alex came over and we watched "Yes Man." Then Friday night he had a 4th of July party at his house. I met his friends and they were all friendly. They, I heard, like me too. I got drunk but felt okay, until I tried hookah for the first time. 5, maybe 10, minutes later I went to go pee and I ended up puking. No bueno. Alex was so sweet. He took care of me. He really is the sweetest guy I've ever met. Later on that night, he was hugging me and said, "I know we haven't gone on an actual date yet, but I really want you to be my girlfriend." I smiled and said, "Really? Well, I want you to be my boyfriend." So we're together now. :) But to be honest, I'm afraid to get too happy because in the past anytime I've been happy with a guy, that's when I end up getting hurt. I'm gonna take this relationship day by day and see what happens. I hope everything works out for the best.

What a weekend!!

This is the first weekend in a long time that I would call "eventful." Friday night Alex came over and we watched Friday the 13th, which was byfar one of the stupidest movies I've ever seen. Other than that, it was a really great night. We talked so much and he is so incredibly sweet. Saturday morning I had to get up early to go to a baseball game, which was super hard because I didn't fall asleep until after 3. I had some good food (pizza from Peter Piper and birthday cake remix ice cream from Cold Stone). We were winning at first then we ended up losing 2-1. Afterwards we all went to Old Chicago to eat. I had pizza (again) and cheesecake. Mmm mmm. As I'm eating I get a text from Karla saying it's our favorite band's last night performing at Barcelona! She invited me to go and even though I was dead tired I couldn't not go if it was their last night. So we went and met up with Stacie, a girl we met a couple months ago there. We said hi to everyone then started drinking. I had a shot of patron and a vodka red bull to start, while Karla had an adios. We ran into Johnny, our former bouncer buddy. It was weird not seeing him in uniform, just as a club-goer. He was so drunk and very touchy-feely, haha. "I like you even though you're white" he said to me, lol. As we're talking one of the waitresses comes by with a plate full of shots. We couldn't resist, lol. Only had one each! lol. And my last drink of the night was a glass of champagne. Mary Murphy from So You Think You Can Dance was there! After the band was done performing we all took a bunch of pictures with the boys. I love them so much and I'm gonna miss them even more! Then Stacie took us both home and I crashed. I woke up this morning not feeling good at all, lol. I still don't feel all that great. I finished watching Seven Pounds then watched a bunch of movies on Lifetime with Ryann and here I am. Work tomorrow...ehh.
